It\u2019s the perfect time for outdoor adventures with our furry friends, and we\u2019ve got lots of exciting things happening at Friends for Pets that we can\u2019t wait to share with you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Vicki\u2019s Marathon Magic<\/strong><br>A huge round of a-paws for our very own Vicki from our Chew Valley franchise, who ran the <strong>London Marathon on April 27th<\/strong> to raise money for Cancer Research. She did an amazing job and powered through to the finish line! We\u2019re all incredibly proud of her effort, dedication, and big heart. Vicki has raised an amazing \u00a31,795!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Annual Conference \u2013 Save the Date!<\/strong><br>We\u2019re gearing up for our <strong>Annual Friends for Pets Conference on May 16th<\/strong>. It\u2019s always a great opportunity for our team to learn, share, network and grow together, ensuring we\u2019re delivering the very best care for your pets. Stay tuned for some behind-the-scenes snapshots on our socials!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Jodie is taking over our Bristol branch!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From 1<sup>st<\/sup> of May Jodie will take the reins from Lucy, for Bristol Friends for Pets, we\u2019d like to say a massive thankyou to Lucy for all her hard work and wish Jodie all the luck and support, we know she\u2019s going to absolutely smash it!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Walking Your Dog in Hot Weather \u2013 Top Tips!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With warmer days upon us, it&#8217;s important to keep our pets safe and cool. Here are a few friendly reminders for summer strolls:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Avoid midday walks<\/strong> \u2013 Early morning or evening is best when it\u2019s cooler.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Test the pavement<\/strong> \u2013 If it\u2019s too hot for your hand, it\u2019s too hot for their paws!<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Keep them hydrated<\/strong> \u2013 Always bring fresh water for both you and your dog.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Watch for signs of overheating<\/strong> \u2013 Any excessive panting, drooling, or lethargy means it\u2019s time to rest in the shade.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Shorter walks<\/strong> \u2013 A quick, fun stroll can be safer than a long one in the heat.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Let\u2019s keep tails wagging safely all summer long!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Stay Connected with Us!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Follow us on social media to see what our team and your pets are up to;
