Regularly check and clean your dog\u2019s toys and throw away any that are broken to prevent your dog from injuring themselves or ingesting any plastic or fabric.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Having groups of toys to clean would be beneficial, so your dog isn\u2019t without toys, and they always have a few clean, fresh toys to play with.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Some toys can be cleaned in the washing machine, dishwasher, or microwave to help kill the harmful bacteria on the toys. Another way is to soak them in boiling water for 30 minutes with pet safe cleaning product. Once the toys are clean, rinse them with clean water and let them dry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Don\u2019t leave dog toys outside. When left in the rain, dog toys can become a breeding ground for bacteria and mould. Even when it\u2019s not raining, the sun can make toys brittle, faded, and release dangerous chemicals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Don\u2019t forget the toy basket.
