What do you and your dog love to take on a dog walk? These are some of our favourites:-

1 – Poo bags!

Lots of poo bags is the top item for me! As dog walkers, friends, family, owners, it is your responsibility to clean the dogs mess up and provide a clean and safe environment for others to enjoy.

2 – Dog lead

A dog lead is the most important thing to bring on a dog walk, along with a harness and or collar. A dog lead is needed to prevent any accidents happening, i.e your dog running into the road, running into other potentially dangerous animals. Having a lead means you always have control of your dog.

3 -Water

It is important to bring water or go somewhere where there is water provided. Especially for long walks, so your dog can keep regularly hydrated and cool.

4 – Dog tag

It is super important to put a dog tag on their collar, with all the important information on, address and contact information. Even if your dog doesn’t go off the lead on the walks, there is always that chance the lead could break, or the walker could fall and let go of the lead. If the dog is found by someone else close by it is clear and easy to identify where the dog lives.

5 – First aid kit

If possible, it is always a great idea to carry a small first aid kit. This way any minor injuries on your dog can hopefully be dealt with in an efficient way, which can then prevent any possible infections.

6 – Treats

Treats are a great extra to carry with you on your walks, especially when training. This helps with dogs recall and praising the dog for good behaviour.
