Welcome from Becca Wilson
Hello everyone,
Welcome to our May Newsletter!
Spring is finally here, and itโs wonderful to see longer days, warmer weather, and more opportunities to enjoy the outdoors with our pets. Weโd like to thank all our amazing clients, pet carers, and supporters for continuing to be part of the Friends for Pets family.
As we move into a busy season, weโre excited to share some updates, opportunities, and helpful tips with you all. Whether youโre looking for trusted pet care, considering joining our team, or simply wanting to learn more about pet wellbeing, we hope thereโs something here for everyone.
Top Spring Tips for Dogs ๐ผ๐
Spring is a lovely time of year for dogs, but it also brings a few seasonal hazards. Here are some helpful tips to keep your pets safe and happy:
- Watch out for ticks and fleas โ Warmer weather means parasites become more active. Keep treatments up to date.
- Be careful around spring plants โ Some flowers such as daffodils and tulips can be toxic to dogs.
- Stay hydrated on walks โ Temperatures can rise quickly, so always bring water on longer adventures.
- Check paws after walks โ Mud, grass seeds, and sharp debris can irritate paws during springtime walks.
- Keep dogs on leads near livestock โ Many animals are in fields with young offspring during spring.
