At friends for pets we offer house sitting. This is where one of our pet carers stays in a clients house whilst they are away to look after the pets/animals. Becoming a house sitter could work really well for someone who works from home, retired or has some spare time and loves animals. It allows people to have some extra company especially if they live on their own or whilst they are working at home.

It’s almost feels like you have a little holiday of your own, as you are able to stay in someone else’s home and explore places you may not have been before. This is also a great way to bond with animals without having the commitment of having your own.

House sitting is also a great way of saving money and earning some money at the same time! It is a great opportunity for students or teachers if they can be available in term times, as this is a busy time of the year!

We always carry out a home visit before the booking takes place so the pet carer and client can meet and the pet carer can see where they will be staying and meet all the animals they will be looking after.
